How we lay it
A block paved surface is only as good as what is underneath. Every job is done properly:
- Dig out to the correct depth, with old surfaces and spoil carted away
- A compacted, load-bearing sub-base and screeded laying course
- Falls set so surface water runs off cleanly, with drainage where needed
- Blocks laid to your chosen pattern, with borders and feature courses
- Kerbs and edge restraints, cut, jointed, sanded and compacted to finish

What can you block pave?
Driveways, paths, patios, garden areas, commercial frontages and shared accesses. Block paving suits almost any hard surface where you want a smart, hard wearing finish that is easy to repair.
Why does the base matter so much?
Block paving lasts as long as the ground beneath it. We are groundworkers, so we dig out to the right depth, lay and compact a proper sub-base and set the falls before any blocks go down. That is what stops sinking, rutting and movement later.
Can you repair or extend existing block paving?
Yes. We can lift and relay sunken areas, extend a drive or patio, and re-sand and seal where needed. We will take a look and tell you honestly whether a repair or a fresh lay is the better value.
Do you do the kerbs and edgings too?
Yes. Edge restraints, kerbs and channels are part of the job. They hold the paving in place and give it the crisp lines that make a block paved drive or patio look right.
